This Part 5 deals with the period after confirmation and before discharge, conversion or dismissal. The effects of confirmation are addressed, with special emphasis on the effect of confirmation on prepetition liens. This part discusses policing plans after confirmation and postconfirmation stay relief practice. Income deduction orders and the modification of plans after confirmation, including incurring new debt and managing postconfirmation claims, are covered. Changes made to postconfirmation practice by the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 (BAPCPA)1 are mentioned here but discussed in detail in Part 9.
